Kate wore another bespoke piece, this time it was a duck egg blue dress (£1,695) with a lace panel by Jenny Packham. The colour is taken from the hue seen at Jenny Packham’s 2011 Spring collection. The dress features a knee-length pleated skirt, nipped in waist and with buttons and lace detailing down the front.
Carrying a matching parasol to tour the War Memorial, she added a touch of the Orient to her very British. She completed her outfit with her trusty nude LK Bennett Sledge2 pumps.
After the memorial visit, the couple left Singapore and took a flight to Kuala Lumpur on a scheduled Malaysian Airlines flight.Upon arrival in Malaysia, The Duke and Duchess were met by British High Commissioner to Malaysia Simon Featherstone and escorted to a VIP lounge within Kuala Lumpur International Airport for an informal meeting with Malaysian dignitaries.
Next, the royal couple visited Hospis Malaysia, the country’s largest centre for care of the terminally ill, on the south side of Kuala Lumpur. The Duchess, who is patron of a children’s hospice charity in the UK, had specifically asked to visit Hospis Malaysia as part of the couple’s nine-day tour of the Far East, and chose the visit to make her first official speech on foreign soil.
