Take a Peek at Kate & Wills' Anglesey Digs

Telegraph/Spread Pictures

Due to security concerns, not much was known about Kate & Wills former Anglesey residence, but now that the couple have decided to relocate to London and are no longer renting the cottage, the details are coming out.

Bodorgan Hall - Main house on the estate
Bryn Roberts

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rented a farmhouse on an estate in the hamlet of Bodorgan on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales. The property is owned by Lord and Lady Meryick.

The house features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room and kitchen. It is two houses stuck together, there are two staircases—one in the center of the first house and upstairs there are two bedrooms in the first house and two in the second house.

The pastel-colored dining room boasts French doors, ornate light fixtures and a picturesque view of Newborough Forest and the beach below.

The property has access to a private beach onto the estuary. There are views of the water from the bedrooms on the first floor, which look over the top of the outbuildings. The outbuildings surround a farmyard and you go through the farm yard to get down to the beach. All this for the discount price of £750/month.

If you've ever wanted to live like a prince or princess, the cottage is now available for rent!

Prince George's Christening Date Announced

PA

The announcement was made today! Prince George will be Christened on October 23, 2013 at Chapel Royal in St James's Palace.

The christening is the royal family’s first chance to officially celebrate the arrival of George - who is third in line to the throne.

This is another break in tradition for the royal couple. It will be an intimate ceremony with only their closest family and friends in attendance. However, it will retain a sense of occasion with the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, conducting the ceremony.

There is no traditional chapel for royal baby christenings. Prince William was christened in the music room at Buckingham Palace, while Prince Harry had his service at Windsor Castle.

The Chapel Royal holds special significance for William and Kate. In 1997, the body of Diana the Princess of Wales lay before the altar so her family and friends could pay their respects in private, before her formal funeral in Westminster Abbey. And in April 2011, Kate chose the chapel to be formally confirmed into the Church of England before her marriage to Prince William.

The last official royal christening to take place at St James’s Palace was that of Princess Beatrice in December 1988.

Updates for the Week of September 16th

A quick update on all the minor happenings from last week. There have been a number of UFO's that were ID'ed and even a Kate sighting by an eagle eyed royal fan. Keep reading for all the details.

The first UFO was a light brown sweater that Kate wore on an outing to Rossano Ferretti salon in Mayfair on June 19th. Thanks to a follower on WKW, we now know it's the 'Crew Neck Cashmere Cardigan' by John Lewis. It is no longer available as it was from a 2009 line.

The second UFO was Kate's tan court kitten heels, seen when she was spotted shopping on King's Road in London, back in April 2011. It was thought that they were Ferragamo. They are, in fact by Bally (again, thanks to a follower on WKW).

Last but not least, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted shopping at Peter Jones in London on September 14th. The above picture was posted on Twitter.

It was the second public engagement for the Duchess since she gave birth in July.

William, as patron of the charity, presented two awards during the ceremony, spoke passionately about the need to do more to save Africa's threatened species. The prince has devoted much of his time to raising awareness for wildlife preservation in Africa and even chose to propose to Kate in Kenya back in 2010.

All eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge as she wore a glittering Jenny Packham gown, emblazoned with flashy pale gold sequins. The floor-length, figure-hugging, sleeveless gown featured a bateau neckline, broche-accented empire waist and back keyhole detail.
