The Royal Couple Visit Queenstown

 

After a jam packed morning, William and Kate paid a visit to Queenstown. This is Singapore’s first satellite upmarket housing estate, and appropriately named after the Queen to mark her coronation in 1953.

 

 

 

They shook hands and posed for pictures with the crowd who were waving flags and carrying 'Kate is great' banners.

 

 

 

 

William & Kate watched a traditional lion dance – a sign of welcome and good luck - to represent Singapore's Chinese community. Then they moved on to view a group of Malay drummers known as a Kompang and then an Indian band, both representing the island’s two other main cultural groups.

 

 

 

 

After the dancing, Kate visited The Rainbow Centre which is a school and community center for disabled and autistic children.

 

 

 

 

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a pretty red, black and ivory print dress by Asian designer Raoul. The red & black cube heart print silk top and skirt are reminiscent of vintage 70's styling. If bought separately the sleeved blouse costs $221 and the pleated knee-length skirt $300. Both are now sold out.

 

 

 

Accessories included her LK Bennett Sledges and the Annoushka pearl drop earrings.
