Kate & William are Given a Warm Welcome in YellowKnife by the locals

William and Kate were welcomed to Yellowknife by Aboriginal peoples from the Northwest Territories - one of the Commonwealth nation's most remote and unpopulated regions.

Hundreds had gathered at Yellowknife's Somba K'e Civic Plaza to greet the couple.

The highlight for the couple, however, was taking part in a street hockey game known locally as 'shinny', using a ball instead of the traditional ice hockey puck.

Kate wore a cream linen three-quarter sleeve dress by Danish designer Marlene Birgir. The knee-length 'Bullet' dress, with strong shoulders, is cinched at the waist with a contrasting waistband in olive green.

Description from The Selfridges Site

'Constructed from a silk mix linen fabric, this striking yet classic style has strong shoulders, three–quarter length sleeves, a flattering contrast waistband and zip back fastening.'

Kate accessorized with her LK Bennett Sledge2 Courtshoes in taupe leather £175 and her matching moc-croc purse that we 'think' may be a Prada. Kate opted for a soft look by wearing her hair loose in soft waves.
