Kate Opens the Treasures Gallery at the Natural History Museum

The Duchess of Cambridge opened the Treasures Gallery at the Natural History Museum in London yesterday, casting her bright spotlight on some of the museum's most exceptional objects of all time.

'Treasures in the Cadogan Gallery' puts on show 22 special exhibits chosen from 70 million specimens and artefacts including rare first editions of Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species. The new exhibit opens to the public on Friday.

It was the second time Kate wore the bright green silk pleated shirt-dress by British designers, Mulberry (Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection). The vintage-inspired dress features long sleeves, a tightly belted waist and a Peace and Love motif along with Mulberry trees. We first saw the £1400 'Cabbage' dress in November at Buckingham Palace to launch the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Completing her outfit, the Duchess wore her black Jimmy Choo Cosmic Pumps and a pair of unidentified emerald and diamond earrings.

Kate turned heads with her new hairstyle (although we caught a sneak peek on her coffee run to Starbucks).

The Duchess of Cambridge's new look appears to have been inspired by the late Seventies and early Eighties, with a heavy parted fringe reminiscent of Farah Fawcett. It has also been compared to Princess Diana.

  1. Kate's face appears fulller of late and she has that tired look of early pregnancy. I am convinced she's expecting..and that we'll hear about it for New Year's.
