Some of you may have noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex are wearing very similar coats (at first glance, I even thought they were the same). You are correct! Both coats are by Alexander McQueen.

Thanks to 'My Small Obsessions' on FB for pointing out the differences between the two. Kate is wearing the long version with pockets and Sophie (the Countess of Wessex) is wearing the shorter version which is designed with pleats in the front and the material has a soft sheen to it.

Beneath her wool coat, there is a black ruffle detail peeking out. A follower on WKW pointed out that it could possibly be the same dress that the Duchess wore to a luncheon in 2011. The dress is still UFO.

Out to lunch in 2011
Kate donned a small brimmed bowler-styled hat with a large sweeping bow adorned with studs by Jane Corbett. You may recall that she last wore this headpiece at her first Remembrance Ceremony in 2011.

Completing her outfit, the Duchess accessorized with her sapphire and diamond earrings, her 'Empress Mini White Gold and Diamond Pendant' by Mappin & Webb and her Russian Imperial Crimson Anemone Pin given to her by Emma Roberts-Smith, wife of Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith, one of three surviving Australians who won the Victoria Cross in Afghanistan on her 2014 New Zealand/Australia Tour. The pin was available at The Met Store for $85 and went on sale for $42.50. It is currently sold out.
