William and Kate enjoyed a high-profile date night on Wednesday, during which they donned 3-D glasses and watched the London premiere of Sir David Attenborough’s new film, “Natural History Museum Alive 3-D.” The film brings dinosaurs, Ice-Age creatures and other extinct species to life on screen.

Kate looked radiant as she opted to re-wear one of her most iconic looks from 2012 -- her bespoke floor-length, black-and-cream 'Amoret' lace dress by British designer Alice Temperley. The dress was embroidered with black flower and leaf patterns over a nude underlay. It was fitted to the waist with the long skirt falling gracefully, loose below.

William & Kate Pay Tribute to St. Andrews University on their 600th Anniversary

 

Last night, William & Kate attended a 600th anniversary fundraising dinner for St Andrews University, held at Middle Temple.

 

 

The event was held to kick start a fundraising appeal to offer bursaries to students who otherwise could not afford to study at St Andrews university. The evening held special importance to couple, as  the college was where the pair met in 2001 and, subsequently, fell in love.

 

 

 

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a sexy black and nude full length, lace dress by designer Alice Temperley that she previously wore to the premiere of War Horse in January this year.

 

 

 

 

 

The 'Amoret' lace gown (£2,900) was available at net-a-porter.com but is sold out.

The details are as follows:

Pinned onto Kate's dress was a red crystal poppy given to her by the Royal British Legion. It's the large crystal 'Buckley' Brooch (£25).

 

 

Matching, her brooch, the Duchess carried a red bespoke Alexander McQueen clutch.

 

Kate recycled her black, suede Jimmy Choo 'Cosmic' pumps.

 

 

Completing her outfit, the Duchess wore her Annoushka Classic Baroque Pearl Earring Drops (£295).

 

 

Kate stuck to her favourite immaculately coffered 'do for the evening event, leaving her luscious locks long, loose and beautifully blow dried. A sweep of black eyeliner, a nude lip and a pair of pretty pearl earrings finished off her evening look.

As I mentioned above, William and Kate met at St. Andrews University. They had a number of art history and anthropology classes together in their first year, and lived close by in the same residence halls.

 

The story plays out when the prince suddenly realises the girl of his dreams had been in front of his nose the whole time. In March 2002 he saw Kate strut down the catwalk at a charity fashion show in a see-through dress and stutter: ‘Wow, Kate’s hot.’

 

 

The see through dress she wore sold at auction last year for a staggering £65,000.

The pair shared a house for the rest of their time at university and, somewhere along the way, friendship blossomed into romance…..and then into the history books.

 

Royal Reception for Team GB at Buckingham Palace

 

Queen Elizabeth hosted an evening event at a Buckingham Palace to celebrate the British Olympic and Paralympic gold medal winners at the 2012 London Olympics. HRH wanted to show her appreciation to the more than 300 British athletes for their huge success.

 

 

 

Kate flew solo at the reception but seemed at ease as she chatted to all the guests and shared a laugh with the Prime Minister.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a black Alice Temperley knee length dress with sheer black detailing around neckline and hem. It featured white embroidered flowers each with a metallic bead  and a bow around the waist.

 

 

 

 

The look was kept simple by teaming the frock with a small black, suede bow clutch (still unidentified), black Jimmy Choo 'Cosmic' suede heels and a dazzling diamond bracelet we've seen on several occasions before. Kate wore her hair sleek and straight with a few curls in the ends.

According to 'Royal Insight,' the Duchess of Cambridge was given the diamond bracelet and matching earrings by Prince Charles following her marriage to Prince William in April 2011.
