Wills & Kate Attend the 'War Horse' Premiere

Wills & Kate walked the red carpet at the premiere of the movie 'War Horse' which was held at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London.

The premiere is being held in aid of The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, of which Kate is also a patron.

Joining them on the red carpet was the equine star of the film, a thoroughbred called Joey, who had been driven from his stables in Milton Keynes.

Some 600 serving and ex-service personnel and their families, and beneficiaries of military charities, were also at the premiere.

Kate wore a bespoke floor-length black lace gown by Alice Temperley. The dress was embroidered with black flower and leaf patterns over a nude underlay. The dress was fitted to the waist with the long skirt falling gracefully loose below. She accessorised with a black clutch bag, a black velvet belt, black velvet platform shoes and intricate diamond jewellery, including her engagement ring, her diamond bracelet we've seen previously and matching chandelier earrings.

As I mentioned above, Kate's dress is bespoke and I was unable to find anything on the Alice Tempeley website that comes close. I did find the dress below that utilizes the same lace as Kate's dress but, of course the style is very different ($395 www.yoox.com).

Clarence House has informed Grazia that Alice Temperley custom made the gorgeous gown for the Duchess and it is inspired by the upcoming Pre Fall 2012 Temperley London collection.

The belt Kate is wearing is reminiscent of the one she wore with her red Spagnoli suit on her visit to St. Andrews.

Kate's black velvet clutch by Pretty Ballerina (reduced from £185 to £111) was the same one she used at the Millies. As of this writing, it is sold out but will be re-issued later this year.

Kate Makes her Christmas Debut at Sandringham

Kate celebrated her first Christmas as a royal family member. She arrived at the St Mary Magdalene Church walking between her husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry, with her in-laws Prince Charles and Camilla just ahead of them.

They were greeted by 3,000 people who had come to catch a glimpse of them.

After the service the royals stopped to chat with well-wishers. The Duchess, with the Duke at her side, was a crowd-pleaser as she spent 20 minutes greeting well-wishers and accepting flowers.

Kate looked elegant in a simple maroon coat by an unknown independent British designer. Her hat is a bespoke piece by milliner Jane Corbett.

The Duchess accessorized with black tights, black heels, black suede gloves, a maroon clutch and never before seen diamond drop earrings. Her hair looked gorgeous pulled half up with her signature loose curls hanging loose.

Earlier in the day

Earlier in the day, the royals attended an early private Christmas morning service on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Kate a grey coat, black suede knee-high Aquatalia boots and black tights.

Update 12/26/2011

I'm thinking that Kate's earrings are Kiki MCDonough. They could very well be a custom/bespoke version of the 18ct gold, citrine & diamond earrings Product Code: 54204 (thanks to WKW for the link). I have posted on the Facebook page and emailed their customer service to request confirmation and information about the stones used in Kate's earrings. I will update if/when I get the info.

The black suede heels are by Spanish designer Mascaro, which also produces the Pretty Ballerinas range (£169). The shoes are from a previous season but will be reissued. www.prettyballerinas.com/

Kate Sparkles in McQueen at the Sun Military Awards

William and Kate were joined by Prince Harry as they attended the Sun Military Awards at the Imperial War Museum in central London. Also known as 'the Millies' (or Night of Heroes), the annual military awards show recognizes servicemen and women.

Kate walked the red carpet in a strapless, black velvet, full length custom Alexander McQueen dress (£4,995). Her gorgeous dress had a frill trim around the bust and a fishtail-style skirt.

Kate's dress is reminiscent of the black strapless taffeta evening gown (by Elizabeth Emanuel) that Princess Diana wore on her first official appearance after her engagement to Prince Charles.

The Duchess of Cambridge accessorized with sparkly earrings (seen at Zara Phillips wedding and in Canada) and a chunky diamond & ruby necklace and matching bracelet that she received as a wedding gift from a family friend.

She held a matching black velvet clutch and donned Jimmy Choo 'Cosmic' ( £435) black suede platform pumps (heel height 120mm / 4.8"). Kate's shiny brunette locks were styled into loose curls with a side part.
