Kate Looks Vibrant in Red at the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant Flotilla

Today, Kate took her position on the royal barge, the Spirit of Chartwell, to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. This honors the 60th anniversary of HRH's ascension to the throne.

The Duchess of Cambridge was joined by her husband Prince William and other senior members of the royal family including Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.

Kate arrived at Cadogan Pier this afternoon and readied herself for the journey down the Thames. There were about a thousand other boats that followed behind the Flotilla to celebrate the Queen.

Kate looked stunning in a bright red wool-crepe Alexander McQueen dress (£1,195) with a pleated skirt from the Autumn 2011 collection.

The frock has also been worn by Kim Kardashian and Tulisa who were photographed wearing a short-sleeved version of it last year. Kate's version had full length sleeves and a longer hemline than the original.

The Duchess of Cambridge matched her dress with a vivid red Sylvia Fletcher hat from James Lock & Co (£795) while her hair was safely held in place in a half up do.

She accessorized with her nude LK Bennett 'Sledge' heels (£185) and a small red clutch also by Alexander McQueen. It looked very much like the Alexander McQueen Classic Skull Clutch in Red Velvet sans the skull. Perhaps it was a bespoke version.

Kate also carried a Strathearn tartan scarf. This is believed to be a a nod to her Scottish title the Countess of Strathearn, a title she uses in Scotland.

Finishing off her look, Kate doned a maritime-themed brooch featuring two dolphins - a gift from the Royal Navy Submarine Service, of which William is Commodore in Chief. She also wore her Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop Earrings.

Update 6/4/2012

Kate came prepared for the rain with a custom red umbrella by the Royal warranted umbrella maker, Fulton. The Duchess' umbrella was custom made to match her McQueen dress. It's the men's Huntsman's style and retails for £19.

Wills & Kate Attend the 'War Horse' Premiere

Wills & Kate walked the red carpet at the premiere of the movie 'War Horse' which was held at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London.

The premiere is being held in aid of The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, of which Kate is also a patron.

Joining them on the red carpet was the equine star of the film, a thoroughbred called Joey, who had been driven from his stables in Milton Keynes.

Some 600 serving and ex-service personnel and their families, and beneficiaries of military charities, were also at the premiere.

Kate wore a bespoke floor-length black lace gown by Alice Temperley. The dress was embroidered with black flower and leaf patterns over a nude underlay. The dress was fitted to the waist with the long skirt falling gracefully loose below. She accessorised with a black clutch bag, a black velvet belt, black velvet platform shoes and intricate diamond jewellery, including her engagement ring, her diamond bracelet we've seen previously and matching chandelier earrings.

As I mentioned above, Kate's dress is bespoke and I was unable to find anything on the Alice Tempeley website that comes close. I did find the dress below that utilizes the same lace as Kate's dress but, of course the style is very different ($395 www.yoox.com).

Clarence House has informed Grazia that Alice Temperley custom made the gorgeous gown for the Duchess and it is inspired by the upcoming Pre Fall 2012 Temperley London collection.

The belt Kate is wearing is reminiscent of the one she wore with her red Spagnoli suit on her visit to St. Andrews.

Kate's black velvet clutch by Pretty Ballerina (reduced from £185 to £111) was the same one she used at the Millies. As of this writing, it is sold out but will be re-issued later this year.

Update 1/11/2012

The umbrella that Wills was holding over Kate is the Birdcage in black - 1 by Fulton (£16). Fulton holds the royal warrant to HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
