Kate Attends the National Review of the Queen's Scouts

Today, the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge was at Windsor castle where she attended the National Review of the Queen's Scouts. She stepped in for the Queen who is celebrating her 87th birthday.

The event is a day of celebration, bringing together 400 Queen’s Scouts and their invited guests to celebrate the achievements of young people and young adults who have achieved the prestigious award.

The Queen's Scout Award is awarded to those scouts aged between 16 and 25 for achievements including carrying out regular community service for a year and completing a four-day expedition in unknown terrain. It is also the highest honor a scout can achieve.

Prior to the parade of scouts Kate joined the senior scouts, who assembled in St George's Chapel at 11am for a Matins service.

At 2pm promptly, Kate did a walkabout, escorted by Bear Grylls, who introduced the Duchess to the scouts and the VIPs.
