Kate Glitters in McQueen at State Dinner in Malaysia

Prince William and Kate attended a dinner with Malaysia's head of state, His Majesty the Agong, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah of Kedah, and his wife Her Majesty The Queen, Raja Persaisuri Agong, Tuanku Haminah binti Hamidun, at his opulent official residence, the Instana Negara palace.

The meal was described as a 'fusion' of English and Asian cuisine. No alcohol was served (Malaysia has a Muslin culture) although guests were offered sweet fruit juices and water.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked resplendent in an exquisitely embroidered white and gold Alexander McQueen bespoke evening gown. The dress features the Malaysian flower, hibiscus, in gold detail.

In line with religious protocol Kate kept the tops of her arms covered and wore a floor length dress.

Kate wore gold jewelry by Catherine Zoraida (Thanks to 'My Small Obsessions for the ID). Both the earrings and bracelet are from her private collection. Her bracelet is called 'Scale' and her earrings are 'Double Leaf' (£80). The items are available from www.myflashtrash.com , www.farfetch.com  and www.catherinezoraidajewellery.myshopify.com/

Additional Information on the 'Scale' bracelet

Description from FarFetch.com:

'Gold plated sterling silver 'Scale' Bracelet ($621.00) from Catherine Zoraida featuring individual leaves arranged as a scale and a t-bar fastening. It will lend an elegant accent to your day wear. The length is approx 17cm. Handmade in the UK.'

Kate & William were presented with some beautiful gifts. For William there was a gold encrusted Malay warrior's sword known as a kris.

For Kate there was a pair of black lace peep toe shoes by the Malaysian equivalent of Jimmy Choo called Lewre with a glittering diamante Wilbur & Gussie 'Charlie' clutch and a Batik dress.

Update 9/15/2012

Kate's shoes have been ID'ed. They are the Tri-shine Strappy Platform Sandal aka 'The Dart.' They were on sale for $553 (originally $825) but currently sold out.

 Description from the lyst.com website:

'This Jimmy Choo sandal unites a trio of lustrous materials for an evening trifecta. Mirrored metallic leather, shimmer suede, and glittered fabric offer subtly colorblocked, texturally balanced shine. As if drawn on your feet by the master himself, delicate straps weave, cross, and loop together into an architectural cage. Asymmetric ankle-wrap rises from outer side; petite adjustable buckle for secure fit. Leather backing reinforces delicate design. 4 3/4" mirrored metallic covered heel; 1/2" platform lowers pitch to 4 1/4". "Dart" is made in Italy. Sizing note: Jimmy Choo runs small.'

Confirmation from Jimmy Choo:

'Dear Ms Daggett,
Thank you for your enquiry and we are more than happy to assist you further.
We can confirm that the shoes in the image you sent across are indeed Dart.
Best Wishes,
Sophie Wilson

Kate Sparkles at Paralympics Opening Ceremony

Two weeks after the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics, Queen Elizabeth and her family took their places once again in East London's Olympic arena to celebrate the opening of the 14th Paralympic Games.

Kate watched the spectacular ceremony alongside Prince William.

The Duchess of Cambridge donned the cream and gold brocade coat dress by Danish designer DAY Birger et Mikkelsen for the third time.

She wore the dress to Zara Phillips' wedding last year and in 2006 at Laura Parker Bowles' wedding

Kate teamed her coat with her favourite nude £185 LK Bennett 'Sledge 2' heels and a Wilbur & Gussie gold clutch.

Kate - the Lady in Red

Last night William & Kate were guests of honor at a fundraising gala evening at St James's Palace. The event was hosted by the 100 Women in Hedge Funds and raised £675,000 for the Child Bereavement Charity -- a cause close to William's heart. This marks a first royal patronage for the Duchess.

Kate dazzled in a red floor-length red dress with billowing sleeves by Beulah London. The low-cut, pillar-box, maxi-length evening gown emphasized Kate's beautiful figure.

The gorgeous silk jersey dress is the 'Sarai Dress' (£565) from the Beulah London Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection. It is also available in navy blue. www.beulahlondon.com/

The Duchess accessorized with a gold clutch, her sapphire and diamond engagement ring and a pair of diamond earrings that we have not seen before. Her shiny hair hung loose around her shoulders.

Update 10/19/2011

After finding a HQ picture, I think I have ID'd Kate's clutch. It is the 'Edith' Gold Glitter Clutch (£160.00) by Wilbur & Gussie. As of this writing, it's currently sold out. www.wilburandgussie.com/

Information from the Wilbur & Gussie Website:

"It's an envelope style clutch with an inside pocket and optional wrist strap. It comes in 100% silk or metallic weave. It holds more than just credit cards and cash. It lets you throw in your blackberry, keys and lippy and is becoming the firm favourite season after season.

•Size: 26.5 x 15.5 cm
•Made in Spain
•Edith was named after Brett's border terrier."

On a side note, this was the same clutch that Pippa paired with her dress to the 2011 Boodles Boxing Ball.
