Day 2 at The Calgary Stampede

Kate & William began their second day at The Calgary Stampede. They attended the annual Calgary Stampede Parade. Kate donned an ivory Temperley London 'Rodeo' cotton and gossamer silk-blend shirt trimmed with lace ($660). She wore the Goldsign jeans, her own cowboy boots and Smithbilt Hat that she had worn the previous night.

As of this writing, the Temperely London shirt is still available at www.net-a-porter.com . The description for the web site is as follows

After analyzing Goldsign Jeans for about 40 minutes, I've come to the conculsion that Kate's jeans are the 'Passion' Boot Cut Jeans ($112 originally $224) and available in sizes 24 and 25 at shopbop.com

 Description from the Shopbop website is as follows :
'These boot-cut jeans feature 5-pocket styling and a single-button closure. Whiskering and wrinkling at front. Whiskering behind knee. Worn edges and moderate distressing.'

Kate's boots have been ID'd!  They are by a company called R.Soles based in London. www.rsoles.com . They specialize in boots and belts. The boots Kate wore to the Calgary Stampede were the 'Vegas Setter' and cost £245.

It has been confirmed that Kate bought her Goldsign Jeans a few weeks before the Canada Trip from Trilogy Stores in Chelsea, where apparently she has been a regular customer for the last few years. www.trilogystores.co.uk

William & Kate Launch The Calgary Stampede

William & Kate have arrived at the final stop of their nine-day tour of Canada -- a reception celebrating the world-famous Calgary Stampede, a rodeo festival and show.

The couple arrived  on an eye-catching 1912 stage coach amid a tumultuous welcome and were suitably attired for the event wearing white "ten gallon" hats they had been presented with earlier in the day, and finishing off the look with cowboy shirts and boots, and jeans.

Specifically, Kate wore an Alice by Temperly blouse, Goldsign jeans and her own cowboy boots.

The blouse is the 'Armonia Blouse' ($255) from the Alice by Temperley Resort 2012 collection. The description is as follows 'White and blue feminine blouse features embroidery bib and collar with scalloped detailing and puff sleeves .'

William & Kate's hats are made by the Smithbilt Hat company www.smithbilthats.com

The company produces three styles of white hat. The New West made of glazed canvas goes for $18.50, and Smithbilt recommends it for large groups who need to be Stampedeready. The "truly gorgeous" Old West model is made of Merino wool and priced at $72.50, precisely sized to the wearer. The Cadillac of Smithbilt hats is the Wild West, an "Official White Hat" made of 100 per cent rabbit fur and ringing in at $199.99.

According to the company's history, Calgary's iconic white hat was born in 1946, when Morris Shumiatchew of Smithbilt Hats introduced a pure white cowboy hat made of imported Russian felt.

Two years later, the hats became a de facto symbol of the city when the Calgary Stampeders competed for the Grey Cup and 250 raucous fans wearing Smithbilt hats descended on Toronto to support their team, bringing with them a chuckwagon, 12 horses and a hat for the Toronto mayor.

When Don MacKay, a man Smithbilt describes as a "born promoter," became Calgary mayor in 1950, he started presenting the hats to prominent visitors to the city.
