William & Kate Take Time Off for a Romantic Date Night

Daily Star Sunday

William and Kate were snapped arriving at the Kings Head Hotel in Great Bircham, Norfolk where they took some time off for a romantic date night.

The Kings Head Hotel

The hotel is located just three miles from the Queen’s Sandringham estate. They spent the last two weeks in Norfolk overseeing final renovations of the 200-year-old Grade II-listed mansion gifted by the Queen.

The couple arrived at about 7:45pm and William asked for a table in a quieter part of the pub as the main restaurant was packed. The staff sat them in the bar. He ordered a lime and soda while Kate sipped on a white wine spritzer as four bodyguards sat at an adjacent table.

The couple then ordered the same meal, grilled fillet of black bream with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, baby spinach, marinated olives and oven-dried tomatoes with arrabiata sauce, priced at £16.25. William requested two scoops of vanilla ice cream, with two spoons.

Four Engagements and Three Outfit Changes for Kate on Day Six

Daily Mail/Reuters

Day 7 began as the royal couple disembarked their RNZAF jet in Dunedin. They were greeted with a traditional Maori welcome from the Ngai Tahu tribe, who are the main tribe on the South Island.

Elders from the tribe conducted a welcome - or Powhiri - which involved chanting at the couple from some distance before inviting them forward.

After leaving the airport, William and Kate attended a Palm Sunday church service at Cathedral of St Paul .  The service lasted 75-minutes, and upon it's conclusion the Duke and Duchess walked down the cathedral steps to cheers and crossed the road to chat to some of the well-wishers.

The Duchess of Cambridge brightened up the day in a long-sleeved, turquoise Emilia Wickstead  dress. It featured a cinched waist, pleated skirt and fell just above the knee. Emilia Wickstead is a New Zealand born, London based designer and a long-time favorite of Kate.

The dress may look familiar as it looks a lot like the pale pink Emilia Wickstead that Kate wore to the Buckingham Palace garden party (May 2012).

Completing her outfit, Kate wore a Bespoke blue hat by milliner Jane Taylor, suede Valerie Carbon court shoes by Emmy London (£400), a Natasha Carbon envelope clutch in kid suede also by Emmy London (£290), the diamond fern brooch on loan from the Queen and her Kiki McDonough green amethyst and earrings.

Next, it was off to Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would each be coaching a children's 'Rippa Rugby' team accompanied by members of the All Blacks.

The Duchess changed out of her Emilia Wickstead dress into an oval knit sweater by Jonathan Saunders ($359 and sold out), blue skinny jeans and her taupe suede plimsolls by Mint Velvet.

After changing into waterproof jackets and donning lifejackets, the couple made their way down a ramp into one of the 15-seater boats. They waved for souvenir photographs and greeted hundreds of tourists and locals who had gathered downstream to see them.
