On Saturday night, William and Kate released four official photographs of Prince George and Princess Charlotte together. They were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge who has broken tradition by stepping behind the lens, using a Canon EOS 5D Mark II (1,999.99).

The snaps were captured in mid May at Anmer Hall, in Norfolk when Princess Charlotte was just two weeks old.

Kensington Palace said the photos were being released as a thank you for all the support they had received following Princess Charlotte’s birth on May 2.

As a further gesture of gratitude to the public, the first of the photographs was released ‘exclusively’ through Kensington Palace’s official Twitter and Instagram accounts. The entire set, containing four images, were released to the press an hour later.

The series of pictures shows how much the new siblings have bonded. Cradling his sister on his knee, Prince George holds Charlotte's tiny hand in one photo and in another he gives his sister a kiss.
Rachel Riley
Prince George wore a classic white shirt with blue piping detail around the collar, cuffs, and front with matching baby blue turn-up cord short set by Rachel Riley ($159). The shorts feature an elasticated back waist, and are attached to the shirt with pearl effect buttons.
Amaia
Start Rite
Completing his outfit, George wore Amaia Kids stretch ribbed knit socks in Blue France (£7) and his Start Rite Jo Shoes in navy blue leather (£36).

This was the same outfit the little Prince wore to visit his newborn sister at St Mary’s Hospital.

Princess Charlotte wore a hand-knitted sweater (€85) and chemise (€58) in 'bone' from an exclusive children’s boutique called Irulea in San Sebastian, northern Spain.

Charlotte could also be wearing a pair of matching hand-knitted bottoms with feet also by Irulea.

One of the new snaps has a striking resemblance to a photo that was taken of Prince William holding a baby Prince Harry taken in October 1984.

Another black-and-white portrait of Prince Charles kissing his sister Anne 65 years ago taken by society photographer Sir Cecil Beaton is similar to the fourth photo of George kissing Charlotte.
A Garbled Tweet
Minutes after the official photographs of Princess Charlotte were tweeted, a message containing a random series of letters and spaces was posted on @KensingtonRoyal on Twitter for their followers to see.

The tweet was quickly taken down but eagle-eyed royal fans are now questioning whether Prince George had been playing around with an aide's laptop, phone or iPad? More likely than not, it was just someone sitting on the device as George was probably fast asleep (photos were released at 10pm London time).
