May Updates!

Since Kate is on maternity leave and has asked the press for privacy, I don't expect there to be very many sightings. However, there are still some loose ends to tie up from the birth of Princess Charlotte, designer profiles and Repli-kates from my own wardrobe. Stay tuned...

What did George wear?

Prince George stole the show when he arrived at the Lindo Wing to meet his new baby sister. He was also perfectly put together for the big occasion and couldn't have looked cuter.

He wore a classic white shirt with blue piping detail and matching baby blue turn-up cord short set by Rachel Riley ($159). The shorts feature an elasticated back waist, and are attached to the shirt with pearl effect buttons.

On top of his shirt, he wore a £40 navy Sous Marine cardigan from Amaia Kids (from a previous season and currently sold out). The cardigan comes in three colors.

Completing his outfit, George wore Amaia Kids stretch ribbed knit socks in Blue France (£7) and his Start Rite Jo Shoes in navy blue leather (£36).

Many have inquired about what the newborn princess wore when she left the hospital, we finally have all the details.

Princess Charlotte wore a hand-knitted bonnet in 'bone' from an exclusive children’s boutique called Irulea in San Sebastian, northern Spain. The high-end children's and home goods store was opened by the current owners’ grandmother.

The bonnet was bought by the mother of William and Kate's live-in Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrello.

No two bonnet's are alike as each one is locally hand knitted. They are made from white and cream wool - called 'bone' by shop owner Ayajo Villar.

Maria's mother bought the bonnet (€ 55) as part of a three piece set which included a sweater (€ 85) and booties (€ 35) all made in 'bone.'

An interesting fact we have learned from the owner is that little Charlotte wore the bonnet backwards. The part that surrounds the face should be on the neck, however we still think Charlotte looked beautiful.

Princess Charlotte was covered in an ivory white 'elegant soft wool baby shawl' by G.H.Hurt & Son (£68 currently sold out but available for pre-order).
