All Eyes were on Kate as she attended the Queen's Garden Party on the grounds of Buckingham Palace. This was the second year that she attended alone as Williams duties in Anglesey kept him away.

The Queen hosts this tea annually for 8,000 esteemed members of the public and is considered to be one of the highlights of the royal summer calendar.

The Duchess of Cambridge spent much of the afternoon in the company of Prince Charles and Camilla, but she made sure to make her way through the 8,000-strong crowd, where she stopped to chat with well-wishers.
